Our Story
A townhouse, two friends, and one very long flea-market list.
The Curio Shop opened in 2014 when Amara and Mei pooled their travel souvenirs, two folding tables, and a stubborn belief that Georgetown needed a shop that felt less like a store and more like a friend's extremely well-decorated hallway.

A decade later, the shop spills across two sun-drenched rooms of a 19th-century brick row house. Shelves are stacked with handthrown ceramics from North Carolina potters, candles poured in small batches two blocks away, linen from a tiny mill in Lithuania, and brass jewelry from women-led studios across the DMV.
We believe in objects with a story — pieces that get more beautiful as they age, that you'd happily pass down, and that make even a Tuesday morning feel a little more considered.
We're proudly independent, woman-owned, and we still personally wrap every gift in linen ribbon. Come say hello.
